In accordance with the Northern California
Junior High Wrestling Section Rules, section E, this item was voted on and passed unanimously by a majority of the Nor Cal
Wrestling Coaches on March 3, 2007.
On May 13, 2008,
the document was reviewed by the Commissioners and these are the following changes for the 2008-2009 Wrestling Season.
1.0 Purpose
This document will grant a wrestler an "unconditional release" to wrestle
for another program and must adhere to the following terms and conditions listed below.
2.0 Requirements
Must reside in the school/club service area or jurisdiction.
Must attend school in jurisdiction.
A wrestler, who lives outside of their district or attends a school where no wrestling
program is offered, can compete for a neighboring club/school.
Must have a 2.0 GPA
Deadline
for releases are due before the Section Varsity Gator Kick Off. Releases will not be accepted after the Section Varsity Gator
Kick Off Tournament, therefore a wrestler would NOT be eligible to compete in the League/Section Tournaments and Non-League/League
Dual Meets.
The release will be active
for the current wrestling season and must be renewed each season.
A School/Club Representative must sign the release to be valid. The release will immediately be forwarded
to the League and Section Commissioner for approval. Upon approval, the wrestler will be eligible to practice, compete, and
score team points for the school/club and must adhere to the academic requirements and code of conduct.
